This week’s scripture reading: Matt. 11:28-30 The weight of God vs the weight of this world!

"For such a time as this" There is a spirit that is ever present in this age we live in, that is so strong it has encompassed the body of Christ. We hear it in the every day walk and it has engulfed the church as a whole. This is a message that will set the captive free if they recieve. I don't really know where to start, but I must use me as an example, to set others free we must be free ourselves. WEEK 2: I want to share some simple truths this week about being loaded down with unjust burdens or the weight of this world that has strangled our self confidence and our walk as Christians. A burden can come in many different forms, we can begin to take on others burdens as if our own were not enough. I want you to think for a moment, ask yourself do I feel weighted down by the burdens of life that surrounds you today  or by others dumping their burdens on you? Not yet a Christian, but you want to be?

If you understand that you are a sinner ("For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23), that the punishment for sin is spiritual death - separation from God for all eternity ("For the wages of sin is death," Romans 6:23) and you understand that you cannot save yourself by your works ("Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ" Galatians 2:16). If you believe in your heart that God sent Jesus, his only begotten son, as a man to walk among us and show us the way, that Jesus suffered, was crucified, buried and rose again to save you for Himself, then simply pray this simple prayer and Jesus will come into your heart, cleanse you from all sin and make you his own.

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for all the sins I have comitted. Please come into my life and save me. Amen
